Human Resource Development Korea and AHRD are pleased to host the joint Global HRD Conference 2024 and the 23rd Asian AHRD International Research Conference in Ilsan/Seoul, South Korea, from Sep. 29 to Oct. 3, 2024.

 

The 23rd Asian AHRD conference will include leading scholars and practitioners reporting their cutting-edge research and theories. This conference serves as a premier platform for researchers, scholars, practitioners, and industry experts from around the globe to convene and exchange ideas, share research findings, and explore the latest advancements in the field of HRD. With a diverse array of keynote speakers, interactive panel discussions, paper presentations, and networking opportunities, this conference promises to be intellectually stimulating and enriching. The theme of the conference is “Forging the future: HRD at the vanguard of the great industrial transformation.”

The 2024 Asian AHRD Conference in South Korea

Registration

The registration process is designed to be seamless and user-friendly, ensuring that you can quickly and efficiently secure your place at this landmark event. Here’s what you need to do:

Step 1: Complete the Online Registration Form

Below is a registration link where you can provide your information, including your name, email, affiliation, position, and other information.

​​Step 2: Select Conference Registration Package
We offer a variety of registration packages to suit different needs and options. Choose the package that best fits your requirements, whether it’s full conference access, single-day attendance, meals, or tours. Detailed descriptions of each package are available on the registration page to help you make an informed decision.

Note. We are excited to offer a special STUDENT discount. When a group of five students from the same department of a university plan to register for a daily conference pass, the group can visit the Asian AHRD Conference registration/information desk on the 4th floor (Kintex) and register for a DAILY conference pass at ₩30,000 (dinner is not included). This exclusive offer is designed to encourage local students' participation and foster a rich exchange of ideas and learning in the Asian AHRD community. Ensure that everyone in this group discount is committed to registering for the conference at once.​​

Step 3: Payment and Confirmation
Once you have selected your registration package, click the “Conference Registration Payment” button at the bottom of the registration page. Make sure you choose a registration package you plan to and add them to a cart. We accept multiple payment methods for your convenience. Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email with your registration details and a receipt for your records.

Step 4: Prepare for the Conference
As the conference date approaches, we will send you updates and reminders to help you prepare. These will include an updated schedule, speaker bios, and tips for making the most of your conference experience. Be sure to check your email regularly for the latest news and announcements.

We are committed to ensuring that every attendee has a smooth and enjoyable experience, and we are here to help with any questions or concerns you may have.

 


Attendee Cancellation

All cancellation requests must be submitted through the Cancellation/Refund Request Form on or before September 15, 2024, to be eligible to receive a refund of the registration fee. All cancellations are subject to a $50 per person administrative processing fee. No-shows will not be refunded. Cancellations received prior to September 15 will be refunded in full, less a $50 administrative processing fee. Requests for refunds after the September 15 deadline will be reviewed by the conference team on an individual basis two to three weeks after the conference. Please include an explanation of any extenuating circumstances and upload supporting documents. Refund requests received after September 22, will NOT be reviewed.

Visa Form


It's important to note that the conference is an in-person event, and there is no virtual option available. Therefore, at least one author from each submission must be present at the conference. If you require an official acceptance letter for any purpose, such as visa application or travel fund, please contact the conference team (shinheepark@uga.edu). We will prepare the letter and send it to you directly.


Session Hosts


The Conference team is seeking volunteers to host sessions for the Asian AHRD Conference. The sessions will be on 9/30 and 10/1. We are in need of one volunteer Session Host to be present in each session. In general, as a Session Host, your role would be to:

  • Coordinate who will bring a laptop for presenting the PowerPoint slides

  • Moderate the session by introducing each presenter

  • Keep track of time

  • Facilitate questions to keep the scholarly discourse lively

If you sign up for this session host, you will receive additional information closer to the conference. If you are interested in volunteering, please send an email (shinheepark@uga.edu) and share three things. 1) your name, 2) your affiliation, and 3) your email. Please contact the conference team if you have any specific questions about this opportunity.
